Summer Berry-Coconut Milk Ice Pops

Nutritious Meets Delicious! Finally a healthy dessert suitable for those with a sweet tooth. The jammy mash-up of 3 summer berries with the coconut milk and cardamom makes these pops just rich enough and rather irresistible. They never last long in the freezer! Enjoy in moderation as they are rich in natural sugars and should be limited for folks with sugar cravings.

Gluten-Free Blueberry Mini Muffins

Gluten-Free Blueberry Mini Muffins. These mini-muffins are easy on the constitution. The key is they’re made with almond flour, so they’re grain and gluten-free. Many folks can’t tolerate gluten, especially as they get older; it creates inflammation which messes with the gut and digestion. Here I’ve canoodled with almonds, eggs, blueberries, vanilla, and honey to create a pick-me-up in every bite

Market Green Smoothie

Green Smoothie from Donna Gates Body Ecology for #candida. Green apples are a sour fruit that adds a touch of sweetness to an alkaline, vegetable-rich smoothie. Ideally fruit should be eaten alone and on an empty stomach for optimum digestion, but work just fine for most people when combined with veggies. If you find that the addition of the apple is too sweet for you, then don’t put it in. In other words, temporarily eliminate the apple if you are dealing with severe candida-related problems and use some fermented coconut meat and stevia to thicken and flavor your smoothie.

Fluffy Blueberry Cinnamon Pancakes – Gluten Free

These healthy pancakes were inspired by a lonely banana on a cloudy Sunday morning. Sitting on my counter, too ripe to eat, but perfect for baking. Realizing that mashed up banana makes a great egg substitute, I decided move forward with Pancake Sunday Funday. I always have frozen blueberries on hand, but you can use any fruit of your choosing as long as they cook well with the batter (eg. apple, raspberry, strawberry). The blueberries add a tart and sweet tang and the heart-healthy cinnamon adds a warm spice to these little cakes. You'll notice there's no sugar added to this recipe because both fruits serve as the source of sweetness while the buttermilk adds the perfect acidity.
